Nice goal

Francois Beauchemin threaded a nice goal in the first period of his last game of the season, it even made SportsCenter's Top 10 plays...but it wasn't enough.
The "Mighty" Ducks outshot Edmonton 33-25 in Game 5, but...
Scott Niedermayer couldn't score the winning goal.
Teemu Salanne couldn't do it (and he's good).
Rob Niedermayer couldn't do it.
But Raffi Torres could.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere couldn't stop it.
Dwayne Roloson did.

Edmonton goes to the Stanley Cup finals!!

Floppy is popular..

But it is incorrect. Still, good job on the voting process.
Good for Mar--the only one who actually committed to the correct answer, and the only vegetarian to answer. Shame on the rest of you. Just so you know, it is okay to burn your bacon, it is still edible. (ever hear of bacon bits, anyone?)

Low ropes course at Camp Manatawny absolutely ROCKS!

What did you think?

Did you not think I knew of multiple SPRINKLES!!!! votes? Still, it was 3-0 (incl myself) at the time. Thank you to those who participated.
"You may be sure that your sin will find you out." (Num 32:23)

Let's see if we can do a better job voting on this one:

Bacon---floppy or crispy?

I will wait a couple days to comment on the results this time, so as not to appear favorable to the correct answer.

This is UN...believable

In late September 2005 I posted about the NL West being clinched with a .500 record. The Padres did hold on to that, surprisingly. Now, nearly a third of the way through the 2006 baseball season, the Padres are last in the NL West with a better-than .500 record. Take a look. I don't even know what to say...can this continue?

Speaking of the NL West, how do you feel about Barry Bonds passing the Babe and breaking into 2nd place on the all-time HR list?

Next Question

Apparently, we have a winner to the last question.

My best-sounding dessert:
chocolate-covered chocolate with chocolate chips, dipped in chocolate, and then smothered with chocolate and topped with chocolate SPRINKLES

Yours?

Oh--best compliment I've heard in a long time:
"My vocabulary is not big enough to describe how good that was."

Manhunt

Or maybe you called it Jailbreak..or something else. But what happened to the simplicity of this game? I used to play this all through the summer, and the rules consisted of the boundaries, and no tackling in the road. We climbed trees and houses, cut through yards, hid under cars, and I'm still alive today. Now-days, there's no cutting through this yard or that yard, I need advance notice so I can wear dark clothes, don't touch that car..."Babysitting" jail used to mean you weren't confident in your own game. I know its not all the fault of the young ones. There's more crime to be aware of, more lawsuits, town curfews, adults are more scared of kids getting skinned knees, no peeing outside. (I threw that last one in there because I was actually accused of that by a neighbor.) Let's face it, we have taught our kids to complain. Anyway, I wish things were simpler. Does that mean I'm getting older, or that our kids are getting older?

Invisible Children, Inc

There is a "new" organization waging a war. The organization is only new to me-its actually been around for at least 3 years. Still, it is growing, and has a goal to benefit an immense population.
The war they wage is against war itself-follow me: Their mission is not a fantasy that believes in a utopian society with perfect peace, it is to create positive change in an area of the world that has been self-destructing for the last 20 years. Click here to learn more about them.

Here's a question...

What sport has the best playoffs system, the most competetive matches, and the best trophy?

For me, the answer is the same across the board...and for you?
