Your Father's Approval

"Fathers, do not exasperate your children." Eph 6:4

A very close friend recently brought up the idea of getting your (my) father's approval in life.
I have thought about this some, and I think that exasperating is the opposite of approval; so, if you don't have the approval of your dad, you may feel exasperated. I have seen examples of this in the many people I have known. It is unfortunate that the lack of approval in general affects us so adversely...but the lack of your father's approval can be devastating. It can take a lifetime to overcome.
I am happy to say that I know I have received my dad's stamp of approval as a person, a man, a son. That is not to boast in myself--because that approval was his doing, not mine. I am stating it because I realize how positively that has affected my life. I am blessed to have a good father.

Thank you, Dad. I love you.

Election Day

For any who get confused...Election Day in America is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. This is how the leaves look in Collingswood on Election Day-Novemeber 7, 2006.
Your election day can be any day of the year...its the day you realize that Jesus wants you to go to heaven.

"He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2Peter 3:9)
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Joel 2:32)
"Whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels ofGod." (Luke 12:8)
What will the leaves look like on your election day?
